Bespoke Jewellery London

Jewellery as Unique as You Are

At Blacklock Jewellery, we believe your jewellery should be as individual as your story. That’s why we offer beautifully crafted bespoke pieces, designed and made in London, just for you. Whether you're imagining a bespoke engagement ring, a wedding band with meaning, a fine jewellery piece, or a one-of-a-kind gift, we're here to help bring it to life with care, creativity, and considered craftsmanship.

What Is Bespoke Jewellery?

Bespoke jewellery is made entirely to order, shaped by your ideas and not simply presented from a display case. It’s a chance to create something deeply personal; a piece that exists nowhere else. From choosing the perfect diamond or gemstone to designing every curve, setting and finish, bespoke luxury jewellery gives you the freedom to create something meaningful, memorable, and made to last for a lifetime and beyond.

At Blacklock Jewellery, every bespoke piece is handcrafted in our London workshop, using responsibly sourced materials, time-honoured techniques, and modern precision. Your story sits at the heart of the design.

Why Choose Blacklock Jewellery for Your Bespoke Piece?

We’re an independent family fine jeweller that specialise in high jewellery, that puts people and craftsmanship first. Here’s why clients across London — and beyond — trust us to create their most meaningful and exceptional pieces:

  • Personal Service: You’ll work directly with a designer, professional jeweller and gemmologist, not a salesperson. We take time to understand what you’re looking for and guide you through the design process step by step with a personal approach.
  • Expert Craftsmanship: Each piece is handmade using traditional goldsmithing techniques, refined with modern precision. We believe great design is about quality, detail, and intention.
  • Ethical Sourcing: We work with trusted stone dealers and suppliers to source conflict-free diamonds and responsibly mined gemstones and precious metals
  • A Quiet, Personal Approach: Our studio is appointment-only, giving us the time and space to focus entirely on you and your piece, with no pressure, where we creatively explore and guide you through the process collaboratively.

The Bespoke Design Process

Creating bespoke jewellery may seem complex, but we make the process simple and enjoyable. Here's how the journey unfolds:

1. Initial Consultation

We start with a relaxed one-to-one chat, either in our studio or over a video call. This is where we learn about you, your ideas, your budget, and what you’d love to create. Don’t worry if you don’t know where to start, we’re here to guide and inspire you.

2. Design & Concept Development

Next, we begin sketching ideas based on our conversation. We’ll refine the design together, making sure every detail feels just right. At this stage, we’ll present carefully selected stones and guide you in finding the perfect gem or combination of gems for you. From classic diamonds and sapphires to rarer precious stones, we draw from an extensive collection. Every design begins and ends with the choice of stone.

Please note in some instances when the design is very involved we may require a deposit for designs, which will be refunded/deducted from the final agreed price on completion.

3. Handcrafting Your Piece

Once the design is approved, we begin making your jewellery by hand. This process typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on complexity. Every step from stone setting to final polishing is carried out with precision and care.

Please note we require 50% deposit up front to commence manufacturing your bespoke order.

4. Final Reveal

When your piece is ready, we’ll invite you back for the big reveal. We’ll also provide you with all the necessary details and documentation - gemstone and diamond certification (where applicable), an insurance valuation with specific details including hallmarks, and most importantly, care instructions to help you keep it looking beautiful.

Our warranty is for 12 months following purchase.

Design Deposit for Bespoke Jewellery

In some cases, particularly for more complex or unique designs, a design deposit may be required to cover the cost of creating detailed sketches or technical drawings. This deposit helps cover the time and work involved and is fully deducted from the final price of the piece if you go ahead with the commission. It’s not always necessary, but when it is, we’ll let you know upfront.
