As a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Britain (Gem-A), Ralph Blacklock is part of an international community of gem enthusiasts and professionals. As Ralph Blacklock is a respected gemmologist (Fellow of the Gemmological Society) his membership of Gem-A is vital in enabling the expansion of our knowledge of gems, keeping us up-to-date with the latest developments and helps us to stay in contact with other gem enthusiasts. We play an active role in supporting gem research, education and best practice and play our part in the international network of gem and diamond trade professionals.
THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF GOLDSMITHS (N.A.G.) was established in 1894 to serve and support the Jewellery Industry of Great Britain and Ireland. Being a member of the Association ensures that we maintain high professional standards to give confidence to consumers and maintain the reputation of the jewellery trade. We adhere to the NAG Code of Practice which sets down the standards to which we adhere.
Government, Trading Standards, industry and media rely upon the NAG for advice and guidance. There is a strong international presence, through the close association with the International Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO). Blacklocks have been a member of the NAG for over 40 years.
